How to allow external users to email a public folder in Exchange 2013
Posted by rbTech Staff, Last modified by rbTech Staff on 23 March 2015 03:53 PM

Recently we needed to add anonymous posting to public folders to a client's Exchange server.  It's not possible to do this through the ECP, it must be done via the Exchange Management Shell instead.

We found the Microsoft TechNet article about it here:
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997560%28v=exchg.150%29.aspx#CreateItems

The short version of how to do it is:
>Add-PublicFolderClientPermission "\Path\to\public folder" -accessrights CreateItems -User Anonymous

Hope that helps!
