Exchange 2016 Public Folder Permissions "Array Dimensions Exceeded Supported Range"
Posted by rbTech Staff, Last modified by rbTech Staff on 25 May 2017 11:25 AM

We had a request to add several employees to a large Public Folder database, and using ECP we got the error below:

The issue is that the public folder list is too large for the ECP web interface to enumerate, and had to use a script that comes with Exchange in the Scripts folder that recurses the folder hierarchy and adds the appropriate permission.
.\AddUsersToPFRecursive.ps1 -TopePublicFolder "\FOLDERNAME" -User "User Name" -Permission "Owner"
You'll need to run this once per user who you want to add.
