Zimbra Calendar Sharing

Zimbra fully supports calendar sharing with multiple users but has proven itself difficult to enable this function from within Outlook. The fix however, is quite easy:

  1. Log in to your email account via the Zimbra web client
  2. Click the “Calendar” tab to open your calendar
  3. To the left of your screen under “Calendars” you will see your calendar with a tick box next to it, right click on your name and select “Share Calendar”
  4. Enter email addresses into the dialog box that pops up, click OK – this will send out an email invite so that others can open the calendar
  5. After accepting an invite, the calendar will show up in the “Calendars” tree to the left, to display the calendar just tick off the box next to the calendar to see it!
  6. The calendar should now show up in the same place in Outlook as well.
